No. 7 Field Street aims to provide contemporary yet familiar living spaces inspired by the grand residences found in the established suburb.
Design and Features:
Willing Property collaborated with Hillam Architects and heritage specialists Griffiths Architects to integrate the surrounding area’s features into the development. Field Street incorporates red brick, timber, and stone elements, evoking a sense of warmth and elegance. A central garden atrium will serve as a focal point, while residents can enjoy amenities such as a pool, yoga area, sauna, gym, dog wash, and a delivery mail room.
Local Planning and Heritage Compliance:
The proposal satisfies the state heritage requirements (SPP3.5) and the local planning framework of the City of Stirling. It incorporates traditional red brick elements, pitched roofs consistent with traditional dwellings, and traditional flat arches. By incorporating the surrounding area’s features, the project aims to offer a sense of familiarity to residents by integrating traditional built-form elements while avoiding imitation of conventional heritage.
